211 Tulip

My grandmother ended up giving the houseboat to my brother Eric and Max; she did not want to stay there anymore with the memories of grandpa. So we convinced her to move in with us, not that it was too awful hard considering my health was still poor. She was still running a few tests on me a month, but little was learned, aside from I was frail, and weak all the time.

Raze moved in also, my mother said it was because they were all worried about how the twins (more specifically Bradley) had affected my body; and wanted to keep a close eye on my health so that if something happened someone was always there to help me if I needed it.

One day I fell down the stairs from weakness. Everyone was there almost instantly, my grandmother’s room was down in the basement, so Raze ended up carrying me down three flights of stairs to get me there. More tests, but no answers.

With everything that was going on, and how crowded the house was Mom, Dad, and Grandma thought about moving but were super worried about me. So my grandma took all her scientific knowledge and asked for some help from Ava and they built me a Plumbot. It cooked, cleaned, helped take care of the boys and myself, solar-powered, efficient, handy, and I could even teach it new things if I wanted to.

Her name was Beta, and she was proving to be a huge help. I was actually able to bring the boys out to the park a few days a week now with her and Raze around.

Still, my parents and Grandmother stayed with us to make sure that Beta was running right and that she would truly be a help to me and the boys.

Grandma kept pestering me about when I was going to marry Raze, and about how much of a good boy he was. I hated to agree with her only because I was unsure if he felt anything like that for me; he was after all still a mute and had never said anything about it.

Eventually, I did corner him and ask how he felt, but all I got for an answer was his flushed cheeks as he scampered away down to the cellar.

Yes, I was embarrassed, but we needed money and our main source was from the alternative blood we sold; so maybe he just wasn’t ready to have such a serious conversation right then. Raze was the only one fit enough to squish fruit for the Plasma wines we made. I will admit that I enjoyed watching him prep wine.

After my embarrassment, I went to my office to sketch out my frustrations. It was one of the hobbies I had kept up with from my times in the cell. It was something that did not require a lot of stamina, so it worked out well for me.

After sharpening several pencils that broke under the pressure of my frustration I heard the door open and someone come in. I tried to ignore him, however, he pulled me from the chair and into his arms.

Something happened during that moment; warmth spread throughout as my arms felt their way to Raze’s shoulders.

My fingers felt a little tingling sensation, as Raze’s wing glittered out to nothing.

And fizzle back into a new bright color. Raze was wearing a huge grin as he watched the shock on my face.

Raze lifted me into the air as his lips parted and for the first time in my life I heard his voice.

“Belle, I love you more than you ever knew; Would you honor me by accepting my proposal of marriage?”

My answer was simple…

(You know why I chose Tulips for this chapter’s title right? 😉 Well, I must say I do love this chapter and have been wanting to work on it for a long time now. I should also say, I’m sorry for making you wait so long to read this post as well. But I went through a slump because of my wonky game… then got back into playing Sims 2, and Sims Medieval again. I gotta say switching to those for a while renewed my urge to mess with my game.

Like I said earlier I was ready to write this chapter out… I had the whole thing planned from the very beginning. I hate it when I do that because it makes me want to rush through the story to get to the part I had planned, but it also makes it hard for me to think of the stuff before this part. Honestly, I was amazed that I was able to come up with the Kraig thing instead of just jumping straight to the kiss; and that I made it to 11 chapters rather than 2.

I guess I can stop talking now huh?
