119 Hand-Over-Hand

Happy Birthday to The Sims!!! I have had 14 years of fun and laughs, and inspiration due to you. Thank you for being so awesome.

“Mom, Dad, I’m pregnant.” We were sitting at the table and we were enjoying the meal until I opened my mouth.

My dad started choking, whereas my mom spilled her drink all in her lap.

“Sorry, I’m really sorry.” I tried hard not to cry, I was afraid, and nervous, and nauseous. I wanted to curl up in a corner and hide for the next nine months.

While Dad composed himself my mom rushed around the table to catch me as I tried to run.

“Oh, honey… We’re not mad, just shocked. I mean come on, could you really not break it to us a better way?” she rubbed my arm soothingly.

“I’m scared and don’t know what to do. If I tried to think it through I would have chickened out.” I looked at the floor.

“What does the father say?” my mom waited for me, but I remained silent. “You do know who the father is… Right?”

“Yes, but he was not exactly excited about the news.” A tear escaped and ran down my cheek.

My dad stood up and angrily made his way to me growling, “Where is the little scum bag. I’ll make sure that he can never have kids.”

“Daddy! Ike is already pissed off at him enough; I don’t need you in on it too.”

“Jorden is the father?” Mother gasped.

“Oh, I never… Aw, crap… Yeah… We’re pretty sure Jorden is the father.” I looked at my feet to keep from seeing the looks on their faces.

“Pretty sure? Honey, what on earth happened?” Daddy was getting angry again as mother asked her questions.

“We threw a party after finals and things got… Well, we all drank… Um… Jorden seems to remember, and his reaction says he’s not too happy about it.” Trying not to full-out bawl was difficult.

“Jorden Copeland, that little bast-”

“Daddy! I’ll figure this out, somehow. Please don’t do anything, Ike said that he might come around. Just give it some time… I don’t want to do anything if he’ll end up being okay with this whole thing.” I begged my father.

“He has one week to make this right, or I’m coming for him.” My father stormed his way to his room.

I looked at my mother who looked at me, “Don’t worry dear, I don’t think He’ll do anything… Too bad… But if you feel the need, it wouldn’t hurt to warn Jorden.” My mother gave me a fake smile.
